Jacob Wiley is the first transfer for the Champs!

The defending champion Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (A1) strengthened their roster with the addition of the 24-year old American forward Jacob Wiley (203-100kg-94, college: EWU). It is strongly believed that this “green” addition is totally controlled by the “new” Head Coach of Panathinaikos, Rick Pitino!!

He played last season at Gran Canaria in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 14 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.5ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.0apg. He was also named League Player of the 24th week. Wiley also played for Adelaide 36ers (NBL) in Australian league where in 28 games he averaged 12.3ppg and 5.0rpg. While he begun his European career with MHP Ludwigsburg in Bundesliga.

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team was regular season runner-up in Big Sky Conference in 2017. Wiley was also voted All-Big Sky Conf. Player of the Year and NABC All-District 6 1st Team in 2017 at his college time.

Wiley is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America) in four different countries. Wiley has played previously professionally in Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg), NBA (Dallas Mavericks), NBA G League (Long Island Nets) and The Basketball Tournament (Few Good Men).

He attended Eastern Washington University until 2017 and it will be his third season as a professional player.
