Another one bust to dust for Keravnos Strovolou in the tonight’s derby!
In an old tike classic derby, Coach Leivadiotis beat another one time this season his friend and ex colleague. Tonys Constantinidis and his team is now very closed to sealed the top position of the regular season.
The final score 74-80 is showing the level of the derby but also the heart of Keravnos Strovolou as the visitors had to overcome a 12 points deficit in order to win finally the game.
Keravnos Strovolou will play in Strovolos against Omonoia and Apollon Limassol while the last game will be played in Eleftheria against ETHA. Games that theoretically are easy for the Strovolos troops..

Wesley Channels was awesome tonight! The experienced guard scored 17 points, with 9/9 free throws, 1/1 two pointer and 2/4 three pointers while he dashed down 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and one steal, in a great Game!!
The Game
In the first half, APOEL without playing any marvelous game but with very tough defense forced Keravnos Strovolou to remain pointless for 7.30”!! And with a solid 16-0 reshaped the score from 16-17 to 32-16 in total double score, before Keravnos close a bit the gap by the end of the period to 36-24!
Keravnos had 8 turnovers, 0/9 three pointers and minus 12, while and at the same time APOEL had the amazing Serbian Cypriot Petar Zdravic scoring 8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and one steal!!
At the third period, Keravnos took over, and with an initial 0-8 cut the deficit to 36-32 while three minutes after took the lead with 42-47 three minutes before the end of the period.
APOEL reacted but not enough, with the score remaining at the 4 points with 50-54, with APOEL ‘s defense being diminished as the 30 points is a proof of that..
Keravnos had the wisdom and the players to simply keep the deficit and grab the win. The newcomer Brandon Ashley remained to the 4 points with 1/8 shots!! On the other hand, Nikos Stylianou had his best game this season with Keravnos jersey after scoring 14 points in 18 minutes!!
