Petrolina AEK thrashed EKA AEL 93-57

There are not many things that one can say in a nearly 40 points deficit. AEL “survived” the division and obviously the players of the German Coach Michael Coch are not very motivated after the “surprise” they did in Strovolos and against Keravnos. This time the rotation had only six players, with the four Americans been partner Up with two Cyprus players, as Marios Georgiou and Dimitris Grivas are the only two players playing in the Limassol Team coming from Cyprus!!

AEK was furious after the loss of the Cup some days ago (Keravnos won the Cup in the OT) and that was shown in the court, with five players on double digits and another two having 9 and 8 points, one can realize the difference of the level of these two teams..

AEK had as a top scorer Jure Skific who ended up the game with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, followed by Shane Gibson who scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. While Vassilis Kounas had one of his most productive games this season in the league after scoring 12 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. Biggs and Steward scored 11 points per head while Marios Georgiou added 8 and Vladimir Veremeenko added another 9. The captain of the team, Iakovos Panteli remain pointless but he added 7 assists!!

On the other hand, AEL had Parks to be all alone scoring 26 points in 40 minutes!! Followed by Kentan Facey who scored 18.. The rest of the team (4 players) scored all and all 13 points!!!
